Happy Yuletide, Pirates! It's time for a holiday contest with "cool" prizes for the chilly season.

The onctest is over, and we had so many amazing entries! Here are the top three winners. If you won, your codes will be sent via email. Thank you all for the hard work you put into this contest. Have a wonderful holiday season.

1st Place: Llama Day - Kai

It's an important winter day where all pirates across the spiral come together to look for treasure, but this treasure isn't any ordinary treasure. It's a golden, silver, bronze and the rare pink llama. The goal is to find all 4 llamas and put them together before the end of the day so everyone will have a good fortune for the rest of the year. If they fail to get the llamas together by the end of the day then they will be visited by an evil blue donkey that's heavy for the rest of the year as their punishment for not completing llama day.

2nd Place: Goodwill Nightlight Faire - Grace

The holiday is important to the pirates around the spiral because it is in remembrance of the long winter fog that happened long ago where a bunch of ships ran into each other and created Flotsam. Each year after the first fog rolls in the pirates decorate a friend's ship with colorful lights so that they can be found during the fog filled days and nights. If they don't have a friend then they decorate a gift with lights and the name of their ship and the last port they were in. They leave the gift in the skyway for another pirate to find. The pirate that finds it then goes to the pirate who left it and decorated their ship. It lasts until the first three mornings of no more fog.

3rd Place: Wintarrgh Melee - Noah

Arrgh! It's wintertime and every pirates knows what that means: its time for the Wintarrgh Melee! The only thing a pirate loves more than drinking yum with their crew is fighting alongside their crew!

At the Wintarrgh Melee on the last day of December, pirates from around the spiral, from Marleybone to Mooshu, gather at the Polarian arena in Walruskburg. There, they are let loose in a free-for-all for pirate supremacy. There is a twist however; the only weapons these scalawags get are their hands and tons of fresh, white snow. That's right! The Melee is a pirate snowball fight. The last crew standing gets the title of Winter Warrior (as well as a handsome sum of scrip and gold), and all the glory that comes with it. However, the real reward for all of the participants, is that they have time to unwind and enjoy time with their companions. Running from the Armada may be a full time job, but everyone needs a vacation.

For this contest, invent your own Pirate holiday to celebrate with friends and family in the Spiral. It could be anything from a week-long feast with fireworks and rowdy Yum parties, to a quiet day of observance.

Once you have a good idea of what your holiday is all about, write 1-2 paragraphs (3-5 sentences each) describing your holiday. Your paragraph(s) should answer the following questions, but you can also add anything else you would like to mention about your holiday:

What is the name of your holiday? Why is your holiday so important to the pirates of the Spiral? What do pirates do to celebrate this holiday? How long does your holiday last?

Entries will be based on creativity and originality.
